Women Founders Foundation (WFF) seeks to provide young women with the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to build a business from the ground up, across all industries with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. WFF grew out of the Women Founders Network (WFN), a virtual accelerator that connects women building high-growth businesses with the tools and resources they need to achieve business success.
The work of WFF will build upon the Junior Judge program of the Women Founders Network Fast Pitch, a yearly competition in Los Angeles for women entrepreneurs. Since 2014, the program has educated more than 65 girls in grades 6-12 about entrepreneurship through interactive online reading assignments, workshops teaching the fundamentals of business, and their participation in the annual WFN Fast Pitch Event as “venture capitalists for a day” to vote for their favorite company and present a sponsored cash award to their winner. The Junior Judges walk away from the experience feeling confident, inspired, and motivated, knowing there is a strong community of women available to support them in achieving their goals.
Inspiring the next generation
of women entrepreneurs and investors
The mission of Women Founders Foundation is to educate young women and girls about entrepreneurship and the life of a business from ideation to long-term success. Through this work, we hope to inspire the next generation of women founders and investors.
Our vision is a more inclusive economy with the widespread understanding that female entrepreneurship is a path to business success. We hope to inspire more girls to become business owners (and/or investors) from a young age, pursuing educational paths that will help them achieve their entrepreneurial goals.
